I'm John

I’m an experienced commercial artist and creative director across multiple disciplines, having built a 30+ year career not only designing, writing, animating and directing a wide range of creative and advertising efforts, but now primarily leading, energizing, and advocating for other creative teams and professionals in our field.

From starting out as a young illustrator to leading high performing creative teams, and helping build a small in-house agency from 4 people to over 70 to date, I’m blessed with a rewarding career.

I believe that effective creative begins with motivated and passionate individuals who crave collaboration and room to explore. That distilling an idea to its core intent and strategy is key to successful work, be it a single message or intricate campaign. I also believe that to get better, we have to try, listen, learn and be willing to risk failing in order to reach our best outcomes.
